PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As mentioned in the activity description, the project will have three phases. Each phase will entail specific activities to be developed so that all the network members will be involved and the objectives of the project will be accomplished.

Activities for the first meeting:

  1. Integration of the network members.
  2. Distribution of tasks and responsibilities.
  3. Preparation of a survey form for compiling different experiences with the systematic follow-up of graduates between Latin-American and European universities.
  4. Preliminary design of the self-diagnosis guide.
  5. 5. Preliminary design of the Manual type and content.
  6. 6. Preparation of a program for a Seminar that is open to other institutions.
  7. Identification of public offices for each country to be involved in the seminar and preparation of a communication to awaken their interest.
  8. Identification of the indicators and design of the survey to be applied during the final phase to determine the improvements achieved in the graduate follow-up systems and thus evaluate the impact of this project.
  9. Tasks 3 to 8 will be performed in parallel working groups.

The second or intermediate meeting will include the following activities:

  1. Presentation of the results of the survey designed in the previous phase and which will be applied in the period between the first and second meetings.
  2. Presentation of the most important experiences, associated with a Seminar to disseminate them among universities with no experience in this matter and national officials in charge of the university area or employment services.
  3. Two workshops centered on the specific interests of the different attendees, that is to say, one workshop on this topic for university directors and another for technical personnel.

The activities for the third meeting will be:

  1. Application of a survey on the improvements to graduate follow-up systems in the network member universities.
  2. Preparation and review of the graduate follow-up instrument and policy manual.
  3. Preparation of the texts to be published on the Web and in the different media chosen for announcing the results.
  4. Planning of a permanent network that will tackle this topic both in Europe and in Latin America, to place this experience at the service of all universities.
  5. Preparation of the program and materials for the training workshops to be carried out by the permanent network.
